1. General Principles

  • Accuracy: All listings must be truthful, accurate, and describe the actual service or need.
  • Relevance: Listings must be posted in the correct category and location.
  • Legality: You may only post listings for goods and services that are legal in Ghana.
  • One Ad, One Item/Service: Do not post the same ad in multiple categories or post multiple ads for the same service/need in a short period (“spamming”).

2. What Can Be Listed

Nyentu.com is specifically for services and needs related to truck hire and moving. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Trucks for Hire: Listing specific trucks (e.g., 10-ton cargo truck, pickup) available for moving, hauling, or goods transport.
  • Services Needed: Posting a request to hire a truck for specific tasks (e.g., “Need a 5-ton truck to move furniture from Accra to Kumasi”).
  • Related Moving Services: Such as professional packing services, loaders/unloaders for hire, or logistics coordination, provided they are directly connected to the moving process.

3. Prohibited Content & Listings

You MAY NOT post listings that:

  • Are Fraudulent or Misleading: Including false descriptions, bait-and-switch tactics, or using others’ photos without permission.
  • Promote Illegal Activities: Including the transport of illegal goods, stolen property, or using unregistered/uninsured vehicles where required by law.
  • Involve Hazardous Materials: Listing trucks for or requesting the transport of dangerous goods, flammable materials, explosives, or live animals without proper certification.
  • Discriminate: Containing discriminatory language based on ethnicity, tribe, gender, religion, or national origin.
  • Are in the Wrong Category: Posting items for sale (e.g., furniture, electronics) or services completely unrelated to truck hire and moving (e.g., job vacancies, real estate for rent). Please use other appropriate platforms for those.
  • Contain Inappropriate Media: Featuring pornographic, violent, or otherwise offensive images.
  • Include Prohibited Contact Information: Placing phone numbers, email addresses, or social media handles in the title, description, or photos of the initial listing. All initial contact should go through Nyentu.com‘s messaging system to ensure safety and platform integrity.
  • Circumvent Fees: Attempting to direct users to contact you off-platform to avoid potential future platform fees.

4. Content Guidelines for Listings

  • Titles: Must be clear and descriptive (e.g., “Available 15-Ton Cargo Truck for Long Haul” or “Need Pickup Truck for Apartment Move in East Legon”).
  • Descriptions: Provide detailed, specific information.
    • For Truck Listings: Include truck type, capacity, condition, availability areas, and any special features (e.g., tail-lift, covered).
    • For Job Requests: Specify what needs moving, pickup/drop-off locations, date, and any special requirements.
  • Photos/Videos: Must be authentic, clear, and relevant to the listing. They should show the actual truck or items to be moved. Stock images or unrelated photos are prohibited.
  • Pricing: Be transparent. You can state a fixed price, a rate (e.g., “GHS XX per hour/day”), or “Negotiable.” Clearly state what is included.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Due Diligence: As a user seeking a service, you are responsible for verifying the credentials, insurance, and condition of the truck and driver before hiring.
  • As a Service Provider, you are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary licenses, insurance, and roadworthy vehicle to perform the service legally and safely.
  • Communication: Be respectful and professional in all interactions via Nyentu.com messages.

6. Our Enforcement Actions

Nyentu.com reserves the right to review all listings. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Remove or edit any listing that violates this policy.
  • Issue a warning to your account.
  • Temporarily suspend or permanently deactivate your account for severe or repeated violations.
  • Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

7. Reporting Violations

Help us keep the community safe. If you see a listing that violates this policy, please report it immediately using the “Report This Ad” feature on the listing page.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Posting Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
